Syvulia Mountain, trekking in the Carpathians, UkraineDay 1
Early departure from Lviv to Stara Huta. Having lunch. Hiking to  the meadow Rushchyna, where we will stay for a night (good place for a camp, water, splendid views).
While hiking, we will observe the work of local loggers. The wood, that the road is going through, is rather old, but it will amaze you with its deep greenness. If our trip is made in July or August, you will have a chance to taste the Carpathian bilberries, as the whole wood is covered with these berries.

As soon as we will reach our final destination for this day, you will enjoy the views on the ridge we will climb next day. Meadow Rushchyna is rather popular point among tourists to stay for a night, as it has water nearby (a mountain spring) and plane surfaces to place the tents. We will make a fire and cook.
Distance to walk: 21 km. Overfall of the height: 740 m.
Short characteristic of the day route: road along the rivers up to the Rushchyna meadow.
Approximate time of the walk: 9 hours.
Day 2
Early start to climb Mala Syvulia Mountain (1818 m.), Velyka Syvulia Mountain (1836 m.), Lopushna Mountain (1694 m.), Borevka Mountain (1596 m.) and back to Stara Huta. Having dinner. Late departure to Lviv.
Our morning will start rather early as we have to hike a lot this day. But it doesn’t mean that it will be too hard. The hardest section will take us about two hours to climb the main peak of a ridge – Velyka Syvulia Mountain.
While walking along the ridge, we will watch the remains of trenches of the period of the First World War. Then we will start sloping along the river to the Stara Huta village which we started from. So you will have a chance to watch plenty of rapids. After finally reaching the village, we’ll have a dinner and depart back to Lviv.
Distance to walk: 26 km.
Overfall of the height: 1590 m.

Short characteristic of the day route: well-marked path from the meadow Rushchyna to Borevka Mountain; sloping to Stara Huta along the path through the picturesque old wood.
