Transcarpathian tour, 4 days
Transcarpathian tour gives you the unique opportunity to: find out not only about the Ukrainian, but also the Hungarian history, culture and customs; visit the famous historical monuments in the Transcarpathian region (Shenborns' Palace, the castle in Uzhgorod, historical centres of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo) and also enjoy the beauty of the Ukrainian Carpathians (Shypit waterfall, Synevyr lake). More than that, you will spend 2 days in Lviv, where you will see the old central part of Lviv (Rynok square, City Hall, Opera Theatre) and also taste the famous Lviv beer during the excursion to the Museum of brewing. You can visit popular open-air souvenir market – Vernisazh - and Vysokyi Zamok (High Castle), from where you can see beautiful view on the whole city and surroundings.
 

Lviv, Ukraine

Day 1

Arrival to Lviv in the morning.
Guided Lviv city tou (about 3-4 hours). Lunch in the city centre.Visiting Museum of brewing (entrance ticket with tasting "Lviv" beer – 2 Euro) or Castle Hill.
In the evening, as an option – visiting Opera House. Ticket prices – 3-10 Euro.
Dinner at the hotel or at a restaurant.
Overnight stay at Wien hotel (double rooms).
 

Synevyr Lake, Ukraine

Day 2

Departure from Lviv in the morning. Visiting Boikivshchyna Museum in Dolyna (Antonovych room, nature, history, ethnography, full size Boyky house and sacred art). Trip to Synevyr lake (The Sea eye), that has 4-5 ha of square. It is located in National Park on the height of 989 m. Lake Synevyr is rightly considered as one of the calling cards of Carpathian Mountains. Going to Pylypets village, to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Carpathians – Shypit. Its total height is 14 m. Lunch at the restaurant. Visiting Museum of models of wooden churches of Transcarpathians. You will be a witness of the unique museum – seeing the models of existing or ruined (non-existent) wooden churches in one room. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel “Hazdivska Huzha” in Pylypets.

Palace of Shenborns in Chynadiyevo, Ukraine

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to the palace of Shenborns in Chynadiyevo. The castle is perfectly preserved. In 1890 in place of a wooden house there was built the castle, consisting of 12 entrances (by number of months in the year), 52 rooms (by number of weeks in the year), 365 windows (by number of days in the year). Optional: tasting wine in Serednye village. Visiting of the tampliers’ castle ruins – the only castle in Ukraine with the elements of Roman style. Walking tour around Uzhgorod town: historical city center, Corzo street, Cathedral, castle, museum of national craft and architecture. 

 

Mukachevo, Ukraine

Lunch at ethno-cafe. 
Berehove – “the capital” of the Hungarian Ukraine. Walking tour around the Gothic Church of All Saints (1370), “Counts’ Court” – palace of Prince Beletni (1629), House of the Imperial Court (1908), thermal springs. Tour to Mukachevo town: city tour, castle “Palanok” (XIV-XVIII centuries). No matter from what side you are arriving in the city, the castle is visible, as it is located on the hill.
Returning back to Lviv (around 21:30).
Overnight stay at Wien hotel (double rooms).

 

Rynok Sqr, Lviv, Ukraine

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.
Green tour in Lviv: Shevchenkivskyy Hay – open-air museum with the collection of huts of 17-18th century from all regions of Ukraine. Entrance tickets – 1 Euro. Lunch in the city centre.
Departure home.
